We served salad (lightly dressed), tomatoes and tofu, fried chicken, pickles and biscuits and they held up well. They looked great too. Our meal was served family style so no one had to carry the plates, but when the servers cleared after all the food sitting on them there were no mishaps. Only had one plate with a crunched corner.

Love these appetizer size plates. I have used them for desserts . Sturdy too. I'm not a fan of the forks though. Hard to stab food. Not good for twirling pastas. Fair using any other way you would use a fork. Don't know about knives and spoons.
