The diameter of the upright poles are approximately 1.25”.

Also, no bag enclosed. And we are unsure where they can buy a bag, you may take help on google for that. -
Is this waterproof or will it rust if kept outside and it rains?

Sorry, but this is not a waterproof type of backdrop stand. Please know that weather can cause any steel to rust. Don’t worry, this backdrop won’t rust immediately. However, we suggest reassembling it when not use for future events.
