I have not used these new napkins yet, but did wash and iron them in preparation for use. After washing, they shrank from their original size of 20" square to about 18.5" square. Since they are cotton, and I like to wash in hot water, I expected some shrinkage, so that was not a problem for me. Unlike some other napkins I've purchased at higher prices, the fabric is a good weight, they held their shape nicely after washing and they iron easily with a nice crisp finish. The only potential problem I see is that the hem stitching is not the best. There are some tangled and skipped stitches, and the stitch length is a bit long. I anticipate having to re-hem them after a few uses. For those who are not handy with a sewing machine, that might be a real annoyance. For me, the fabric quality and the low price offset the extra time spent restitching the hems.
